Razer pushes Basilisk V4 Pro to 50K DPI and 8,000Hz polling

Razer’s new flagship gaming mouse adds 14 customisable controls, a 50,000 DPI sensor and up to 200 hours of battery life, alongside a charging dock that doubles as an 8,000Hz wireless receiver.

Razer has expanded its Basilisk range with the V4 Pro, a new flagship ergonomic wireless mouse that keeps the series’ broad, thumb-rested shape while adding more controls, a revised button layout and a higher-end sensor package. According to Razer’s announcement on 8 October 2026, the mouse launches alongside the Mouse Dock V2 Pro, a charging cradle that also serves as a high-speed wireless receiver. (razer.com)

The hardware update is substantial. Razer says the Basilisk V4 Pro offers 14 customisable controls, including a new M1 edge button and three dedicated side controls, plus the HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2 with tactile, free-spin and Smart-Reel modes. The company also claims the mouse now uses its Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3, with up to 50,000 DPI, 930 IPS tracking speed and 90G acceleration, alongside Frame Sync, Dynamic Sensitivity and Perfect 180 for low-sensitivity players. The same product page says the mouse supports true 8,000Hz polling and up to 200 hours of battery life under HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 in standard test conditions. (razer.com)

Razer is also leaning heavily into connectivity and desk management. The Basilisk V4 Pro supports HyperSpeed Wireless, Bluetooth 6.2 with up to three paired devices, and wired operation, while the dock’s integrated 8,000Hz transceiver is designed to cut cable clutter and allow mouse and keyboard pairing through a single receiver. Razer says the dock adds magnetic charging, eight-zone Chroma underglow, a battery indicator and an anti-slip base. For buyers who do not want the full-spec model, the company has also introduced the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed, which it positions as a lighter 94g alternative with fewer controls and a more modest sensor.
