POCO X8s goes on sale early with 6,330mAh battery and 100W charging

POCO has opened pre-orders for its compact X8s in Vietnam, pairing a 6.35-inch LTPO OLED display with a 6,330mAh battery, 100W charging and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 performance.

POCO has quietly put the X8s on sale in Vietnam through Xiaomi’s official Shopee store, positioning the device as the most compact model in the X8 line-up and a new mid-range option built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. The listing suggests the phone is being offered ahead of a broader formal launch, with pre-orders already open and deliveries expected between 6 November and 9 November, according to local retail pages and industry trackers.

The phone is listed in two memory versions: 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, and 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage. Pricing on the Vietnamese listing starts at the equivalent of about $437 and rises to roughly $532 for the higher-capacity model, though some reports note promotional pricing for early buyers. The handset is shown in Black, White and Blue, with pre-order customers eligible for a free pair of Redmi Buds 6 Play earbuds while stocks last.

On the specification sheet, the X8s centres on a 6.35-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and very slim symmetrical bezels. Its rear camera system combines a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, while the front camera uses a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. The phone also runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS software on Android 16 and carries a metal frame with IP68-rated protection against dust and water.

Battery life is another major talking point. The X8s packs a 6,330mAh battery and supports 100W wired charging, placing it among the more aggressively specified compact phones in its class. Connectivity support includes 5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C and an infrared blaster, while certification listings indicate that POCO is preparing the model for markets beyond Vietnam, although it has not yet confirmed launch timing or pricing elsewhere.
