Lenovo pushes local AI and seven-year support across expanded Yoga line-up

Lenovo has unveiled two RTX Spark laptops and two pen-focused tablets, adding expanded on-device AI tools, dual-surface input and software support through 2033.

Lenovo has widened its Yoga range with a set of premium devices aimed at creators, students and professionals who want more on-device AI processing, broader pen support and longer software life. The new line-up, presented by the company at Lenovo Innovation World, centres on two laptops built around NVIDIA RTX Spark and two tablets that push a pen-first approach, while Lenovo also introduced its Smart Canvas concept and expanded its Qira AI features. According to Lenovo, RTX Spark combines NVIDIA AI, RTX acceleration and the CUDA stack to let more advanced AI models run locally rather than relying entirely on the cloud, with the aim of moving from single-feature acceleration to more complete multi-application workflows. The Yoga Pro 9n, a 15-inch model, is positioned as the more powerful of the two laptops, with up to 128GB of 9,400MT/s unified memory for local AI work, development, content creation and 3D rendering, plus Lenovo X Power thermal design to sustain performance in a thin chassis. It also uses a PureSight Pro OLED display, a 9.2-megapixel IR camera and a haptic Force Pad with pen support for editing and navigation. The Yoga 9n 2-in-1, meanwhile, is a 16-inch convertible aimed at users who need flexibility as well as performance, offering up to 64GB of the same high-speed unified memory, a 120Hz PureSight Pro OLED panel and dual-surface pen input so users can write or draw on both the screen and the Force Pad. Lenovo says its 360-degree hinge supports laptop, tablet, tent, stand and canvas modes, while a six-speaker Dolby Atmos system is designed to keep audio front-facing regardless of orientation. On the tablet side, the Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 and Yoga Tab Gen 2 extend the family into more portable devices built around pen input, premium displays and Lenovo Qira features for creation, productivity and entertainment. Lenovo says the tablets include native AI tools such as AI Vision, Smart AI Input, AI Creation Tools, AI Note and Live Transcript, alongside gesture controls including Click to Draw, Squeeze to Select and Flip to Erase, as well as 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt detection and palm rejection. The Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite and a 13-inch 4K PureSight Pro display, while the smaller Yoga Tab Gen 2 runs on a Dimensity 9500s chip. Both launch with Android 17 and are promised seven OS upgrades through Android 24, together with security updates through 2033, which is notable for buyers seeking longer device support. Lenovo also used the launch to show Smart Canvas, a concept intended to carry work between compatible devices by combining voice, pen, camera and touch input, and demonstrated it with the Yoga AIO i Aura Edition and Yoga Tab Gen 2 to illustrate how ideas can move from capture to refinement across a connected workspace.
