Lava Aura Curve 5G brings a rear display and 6,000mAh battery to India’s mid-range market

Lava has launched the Aura Curve 5G at ₹23,999, pairing a curved 120Hz AMOLED screen and secondary rear display with a 6,000mAh battery and Dimensity 7100 chipset.

Lava has broadened its smartphone line-up in India with the debut of the Aura series, led by the Aura Curve 5G, a mid-range model aimed at buyers looking for a curved AMOLED screen, a large battery and 5G connectivity without moving into premium pricing. The handset is priced at ₹23,999 and will be sold through Lava’s offline retail network nationwide, according to the company and reports from Gadgets 360, Gizbot and GSMArena.

The Aura Curve 5G centres on a 6.67-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of 1,100 nits. Lava has also added a small rear display, which it says can show notifications, battery information, music controls and custom messages. Industry coverage suggests the design is intended to distinguish the phone in a crowded segment where visual features are increasingly used to separate similarly priced devices.

Inside, the phone uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100 chip paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Lava says users can extend memory virtually by up to another 6GB. The device runs Android 16 and comes with Lava’s Vayu AI assistant, while the company promises two years of operating system upgrades and three years of security updates, a commitment that may matter to buyers comparing long-term software support across budget and mid-tier phones.

Battery capacity is another major selling point. Lava has fitted the Aura Curve 5G with a 6,000mAh cell and support for up to 45W charging, although a 33W charger is included in the box. The handset is rated IP64 for dust and splash resistance. For photography, it carries a 50MP Sony IMX752 main camera with electronic image stabilisation and 2K video recording, alongside a 13MP front camera. It is available in Ambar Blue and Him Silver, both with a vegan leather rear finish, according to the launch details reported by The Hindu and other technology outlets.
