The 15.6-inch Windows 11 laptop pairs an AMD Ryzen 5 7430U chip with upgradeable RAM, a 70Wh battery and unusually extensive connectivity for Rp8,599,000.
TECNO has launched the MEGABOOK K15S in Indonesia, positioning the 15.6-inch laptop as a budget model with unusually broad physical connectivity. The device is built around AMD’s Ryzen 5 7430U processor and, according to local launch coverage, carries nine ports so users can connect peripherals without relying heavily on adapters or docks.
The specification set is modest but practical. Tecno is shipping the machine with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe SSD, with dual SO-DIMM slots allowing the RAM to be expanded to 32GB. The Ryzen 5 7430U is a six-core, 12-thread chip rated up to 4.3GHz, paired with integrated AMD Radeon graphics. For buyers weighing it against similarly priced machines, that combination suggests a focus on everyday productivity rather than gaming or content-heavy creative work.
Its display is a Full HD panel running at 60Hz, with 300 nits of brightness and 45% NTSC colour coverage. Carisinyal says the screen is an IPS-type panel, and the hinge opens to 180 degrees for flatter viewing angles or shared use. Tecno also includes a 70Wh battery that the company says can last up to 17.5 hours, along with 65W USB-C charging via a GaN adapter. The cooling system uses a single fan and a copper heat pipe, designed to handle thermal loads of up to 35W.
The chassis is made from aluminium alloy and measures 17.3mm thick, with a weight of about 1.7kg. Other features include a backlit keyboard with four lighting levels, a fingerprint reader built into the power button, and a 720p webcam with a physical privacy shutter. Connectivity covers USB-C, USB-A, HDMI 1.4, a TF card reader, RJ45 Ethernet and a 3.5mm audio jack, while wireless support is limited to Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. Stereo speakers with DTS Immersive Sound Effect are also included.
The laptop runs Windows 11 Home and comes with Tecno PC Manager for system control. Tecno’s OneLeap software is also bundled to support file transfer and smartphone integration within the company’s device ecosystem. In Indonesia, the MEGABOOK K15S is being sold in a Grey finish with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for Rp8,599,000. Sales began on 23 October 2026 through TikTok Shop by Tokopedia, with wider availability on Shopee, Tokopedia, Lazada, Blibli, Akulaku, Agres Store and Tecno Authorised Stores from 25 October 2026.
