The US$69 MCHOSE R9 combines a lightweight 235-gram design, multi-platform connectivity and a quoted 150-hour battery life, with pre-orders available for US$49 ahead of October 2026 shipments.
MCHOSE is pitching the R9 as a low-cost wireless gaming headset that tries to avoid the usual trade-offs between comfort, sound quality and battery life. The company says the model weighs about 235 grams and uses a floating dual-headband structure intended to spread pressure more evenly across the head, while a detachable 360-degree microphone with AI noise reduction is meant to cut background noise during team chat. That combination makes the R9 a fairly direct attempt to attract players who want a lighter headset for long sessions without sacrificing voice clarity.
On the audio side, MCHOSE says the R9 uses 53 mm composite diaphragm drivers and supports THX Spatial Audio for more precise positioning in games. The headset is built around broad compatibility rather than a single platform: it can connect over 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C and a wired connection. MCHOSE says that makes it usable with PCs, laptops, consoles, the Nintendo Switch and compatible mobile devices. The headset is offered in Black and Sky White.
The software layer is also central to the product pitch. According to MCHOSE, the R9 can be managed through its M HUB app on PC and mobile, where users can adjust the equaliser and choose audio presets. The company says those settings are stored in the headset’s internal memory, so they remain available when moving between devices. That is useful for players who switch between a desktop setup and a portable system and do not want to rebuild their sound profile each time.
Battery life is one of the headline claims. MCHOSE says the R9 packs a 1,050mAh battery rated for up to 150 hours of use, while 2.4GHz wireless mode is listed with a latency of around 15 milliseconds. As with most wireless headsets, actual endurance will vary depending on volume, connection type and microphone use, but the quoted figure is competitive for a headset in this price range.
The official store lists the R9 at US$69, with a promotional pre-order price of US$49. Shipping is scheduled to begin on 29 October 2026. For now, the company has not confirmed local pricing or availability in Indonesia. On paper, the R9 looks like a value-focused release that leans heavily on weight, battery life and microphone processing rather than premium materials or more advanced ecosystem features.
