Blink’s new security cameras stretch coverage to 7,000 feet and add 4K video

Amazon-owned Blink has unveiled five new security cameras, including its first 4K model and a long-range trail camera designed to cover properties up to 7,000 feet from its hub.

Blink has widened its home security range with five new cameras aimed at customers who need either greater coverage, sharper image quality or better performance in low light. According to Amazon’s device announcement, the new line-up includes the Frontier XR+, the Outdoor 2K XR+, the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+, the Mini 4K+ and the Spotlight Cam 2K+, with preorders open in the US from $49.99.

The most ambitious addition is the Blink Frontier XR+, a trail camera intended for large properties and remote sites. Amazon says it can work at distances of up to 7,000 feet from its Sync Module XR+ when there is a clear line of sight, making it the farthest-reaching model Blink has introduced so far. The related Outdoor 2K XR+ is positioned for users who want extended range over driveways, gates and other entry points, while still offering a 115-degree field of view.

Blink has also expanded its indoor and mixed-use options. The Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ adds motorised movement, with 350-degree horizontal panning and 115-degree vertical tilt, allowing it to follow motion across a room or patio. TechRadar reported that the Mini 4K+ is the company’s first 4K camera and includes dual-band Wi-Fi 6, while Amazon described it as its sharpest wired model to date.

Rounding out the range is the Spotlight Cam 2K+, a wire-free camera with built-in illumination for night-time viewing. Amazon said the new devices are designed to deliver higher resolution, broader coverage and longer reach across different use cases, from compact indoor monitoring to surveillance of larger outdoor areas. Pricing starts at $49.99 for the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+, rising to $199.99 for the Frontier XR+ bundle with the XR+ module, according to product listings reported by Notebookcheck and other outlets.
