POCO X8 lands in the Philippines with a 8,340mAh battery and November launch deal

POCO will launch the X8 in the Philippines on 6 November 2026, with two 256GB variants and an early-bird discount of PHP 2,000.

POCO has confirmed that the POCO X8 will arrive in the Philippines, with the company’s local social media posts and an unboxing video indicating that the phone is already listed for checkout on its official Shopee and Lazada stores. GizGuide noted, however, that the prices shown online appear to be temporary placeholders rather than final retail tags, suggesting the brand is still preparing the launch materials.

The timing now looks clearer. According to WalaTech, POCO Philippines has scheduled the official launch for 6 November 2026, with sales expected to begin through the brand’s local channels. The report said the phone will be offered in two versions: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. An early-bird promotion is expected to run from 6 to 15 November, cutting PHP 2,000 from both variants.

Pricing details also match the wider international positioning of the device. GizGuide said the POCO X8 starts at $269 overseas, before taxes, or roughly PHP 16,800 at current exchange rates. In the Philippines, WalaTech reported launch prices of PHP 21,999 for the 8GB model and PHP 24,999 for the 12GB version during the early-bird window.

The POCO X8 is built around endurance and durability. It carries an 8,340mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W HyperCharge support, along with 22.5W wired reverse charging. POCO says the battery is designed to retain at least 80 per cent of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles. The handset also features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and support for 12-bit colour, while the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Internally, the phone uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip, fabricated on a 4nm process and paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 256GB variant uses UFS 3.1, while the 128GB model uses UFS 2.2. For imaging, POCO includes a 50MP main camera with optical stabilisation, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP front camera, with both sides capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps.

The rest of the specification sheet follows the same practical brief. POCO lists stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint reader, NFC, an infrared blaster, AI Erase, and dual-video recording. The phone ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and supports Google Gemini and Circle to Search. It is available in Black, White and Orange, and weighs 223g, with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
