Xiaomi prices open-ear Redmi Clip Neo at CNY 399

The clip-on earbuds pair a lightweight memory-titanium bridge with seven-hour battery life and physical buttons, bringing Xiaomi’s open-ear design to a lower price point.

Xiaomi has expanded its clip-on audio range with the Redmi Clip Neo, an open-ear wireless earbud model that brings much of the same design language and feature set seen in the company’s more expensive clip-on products, but at a lower price point. According to Xiaomi’s product page and reports from Gadgets 360 and Gizmochina, the earbuds are aimed at users who want awareness of their surroundings while listening, with a design that sits outside the ear canal rather than sealing it shut.

The hardware centres on a flexible memory-titanium bridge with silicone contact points, which Xiaomi says is intended to improve comfort and stability during extended wear. Each earbud weighs 5.3g, making the set relatively light by open-ear standards. The manufacturer also presents the product as part of its Redmi audio line, with the official page describing a C-shaped clip-on form factor and a comfort-focused fit.

Sound is delivered through 12mm dual-magnetic drivers and a coated diaphragm, while Xiaomi has added a 10-band equaliser and four preset tuning modes, with further customisation available through companion software. Coverage from Cinco Días, Gizmochina and SOGI also notes AI-assisted noise reduction for calls, multipoint connectivity for two devices and quick pairing when the charging case is opened. The decision to use physical buttons instead of touch controls is unusual in current true wireless designs, but it may appeal to users who want to avoid accidental input.

Battery claims are competitive for the category. Xiaomi says the earbuds can run for up to seven hours on a single charge, with total endurance rising to 32 hours when used with the charging case. The standard model is priced at CNY 399 or CNY 400 depending on the outlet, which places it in the lower end of Xiaomi’s clip-on range. Reports from Gadgets 360 and Gizmochina also mention a CryingCenter co-branded gift edition at CNY 449, alongside the standard Zero Black and Pearl White finishes.

The launch underlines how quickly open-ear earbuds are moving from niche fitness accessories to mainstream audio products. Xiaomi’s approach combines lightweight materials, adjustable sound settings and basic multi-device features in a format that prioritises environmental awareness over isolation. For buyers interested in open-ear listening without paying premium prices, the Redmi Clip Neo appears designed to make that segment more accessible.
