ASUS TUF Gaming A16 with RTX 5070 listed in Croatia for €1,649

A Croatian retailer has listed the 16-inch TUF Gaming A16 with a Ryzen 7 260, 165Hz display and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed for €1,649.

ASUS’s TUF Gaming A16 FA608UP-RV048 has appeared in a Croatian retail listing as a relatively well-specified gaming laptop built around AMD’s Ryzen 7 260 and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. The Računala.hr configuration is notable not only for its core hardware, but also because it ships with Windows 11 Pro already installed, making it ready to use immediately after purchase. According to the retailer listing, the machine is priced at €1,649.

At the centre of the system is AMD’s Ryzen 7 260, an eight-core, 16-thread processor with a 3.8GHz base clock and boost speeds of up to 5.1GHz. AMD describes the chip as part of its Ryzen 200 Series and confirms a 45W default thermal design power, with configurable power levels from 35W to 54W. ASUS’s own specification page for the 2025 TUF Gaming A16 range also lists the processor’s 24MB cache and integrated XDNA-based NPU, rated at up to 16 TOPS for selected AI workloads.

Graphics duties are handled by the RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7 memory. ASUS’s published specifications confirm support for hardware ray tracing and Nvidia’s DLSS technologies, while the combination of the chip and the laptop’s 1,920 x 1,200 display resolution should make the system suitable for modern games at sensible settings. More demanding titles will still require some tuning if the aim is to maintain high frame rates.

The 16-inch IPS panel is one of the more practical parts of the design. ASUS lists a 16:10 aspect ratio, 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, anti-glare coating, full sRGB coverage and G-Sync support, alongside MUX Switch and Nvidia Advanced Optimus. In practice, that means the laptop can switch between integrated and discrete graphics more efficiently, which helps balance performance and battery life. Notebookcheck and TechRadar both note that the A16 platform delivers strong gaming results, although the display is not especially bright and the cooling system can become loud under load.

The rest of the specification is broadly in line with a mid- to upper-range gaming model. The Croatian listing says the notebook has 16GB of DDR5 memory running at 5,600MHz, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, two SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 bays for future expansion. Connectivity includes USB4, USB-C with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth. It also includes a Full HD infrared webcam with Windows Hello, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a single-zone RGB keyboard. At 2.2kg and with a 90Wh battery, it is not especially light, but that is typical for a 16-inch gaming laptop in this class.
