Peak Design’s new Qi2.3 power bank adds a kickstand, but wireless charging tops out at 15W

The $99.95 Wireless Kickstand Travel Battery leads a new line-up of charging accessories, including a fold-flat dual-device stand, a 65W adapter and braided USB-C cables.

Peak Design has broadened its magnetic charging range with four new accessories aimed at iPhone users who want a more complete desk-and-travel set-up. The launch centres on a new wireless battery with an integrated kickstand, alongside a two-device charging stand, a compact 65W wall adapter and a pair of braided USB-C cable ranges. According to Engadget and Android Central, the products are available to order now, with wider retail availability expected later in November.

The headline product is the Wireless Kickstand Travel Battery, which Peak Design says is the first Qi2.3-certified power bank. The company’s claim is significant for certification, but not for raw wireless speed: the battery still tops out at 15W when running on its own cell. Peak Design says the output rises to 25W only when the bank is connected to mains power, while the built-in 5,000mAh battery and 10.5mm profile are meant to keep the unit slim enough for pocket carry. A side-mounted USB-C port supports both input and output, and pass-through charging allows the battery and a connected phone to replenish at the same time. The device comes in Black and Moon and is priced at $99.95, according to the company and the reports that followed.

Peak Design is also adding a fold-flat 2-in-1 wireless charging station. The stand uses two Qi2.2 magnetic pads, each rated at up to 25W even when both are in use, while a USB-C port on the side can top up a third device at 7.5W. The aluminium arm can be set to portrait or landscape positions, then folded away for transport. According to Cult of Mac and the other coverage, the station costs $99.95, ships in Black and Moon, and includes a 1.5-metre 100W USB-C cable but no power adapter. Peak Design says a 75W or higher wall charger is needed to reach full output from both pads at once.

Rounding out the line-up is the Dual Slim Charger, a 65W GaN wall adapter with two USB-C ports in a housing that Peak Design describes as 0.5in thick. One port can deliver the full 65W on its own, while dual-device charging splits power at either 30W/30W or 45W/20W. The accessory is priced at $64.95 and is only offered in black. Peak Design is also selling braided UltraStrand cables in Everyday and Pro versions. The Everyday range supports 60W charging and USB 2.0 data speeds, with pricing that varies by length, while the Pro version reaches 240W and 40Gbps, with Thunderbolt 3/4, USB4 and DisplayPort support for displays up to 8K at 60Hz. Both cable lines include aluminium connectors, a built-in clip and the company’s lifetime guarantee, according to the product details cited by Engadget, Android Central and MacSources.
