The discount puts a machine aimed at portable productivity into a price bracket that is closer to mainstream ultrabooks than to the high end of the market, while still keeping the 2-in-1’s standout OLED screen and thin chassis in view.
That lower price matters because independent reviews have been broadly positive about the Slim 7x family. Tom’s Hardware described the laptop as exceptionally fast with strong battery life, while also praising its build quality, keyboard, touchpad and webcam. Tom’s Guide called it a sleek Snapdragon X Elite Windows laptop with excellent endurance and a striking OLED panel, though it noted the lack of a headphone jack and some underwhelming AI features.
Laptop Mag also highlighted the model’s battery life and keyboard, calling it a strong all-round consumer laptop and an appealing introduction to Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC category. TechRadar was similarly enthusiastic about the design and display, pointing to a 14-inch OLED panel, up to 32GB of memory on some configurations and solid productivity performance, while warning that gaming remains a weak spot because of graphics and driver limitations.
For buyers, the main trade-off is connectivity. The slim design leaves room for little beyond USB-C ports, so anyone with older peripherals may need a hub or dock. Even so, Windows Central said the broader Yoga Slim 7x line combines a lightweight aluminium body, high-quality OLED screen, strong battery life and a sharp webcam, making it a convincing premium ultraportable for users who can work within the ARM-based Windows ecosystem.
