Leaked benchmarks hint at a premium Dell XPS laptop possibly launching as a Googlebook, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and a high-end OLED touchscreen, signalling a new collaboration between Dell and Google’s emerging platform.
A leaked benchmark suggests Dell may be preparing a premium Googlebook under its XPS banner, adding a familiar name to a platform that is only beginning to emerge. According to Android Authority, the device appears in Geekbench listings as the “Dell XPS 13 (DX13267)”, with the clues pointing to an unreleased model that could sit at the top end of Dell’s laptop range.
The reporting, compiled with help from ChromeUnboxed, points to an internal board codenamed “Mica”, which had previously surfaced in Chromium development linked to Qualcomm-based Googlebook hardware. That same trail also appears to connect the machine to Android 17 desktop builds, which would fit Google’s wider work on a desktop operating system referred to as Aluminium OS.
If the leak is accurate, the laptop would carry Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite processor, with memory options of 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Other details point to a 13.4-inch OLED touchscreen with a 2,880 x 1,800 resolution, plus Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth and two USB-C ports. Those hardware choices are broadly consistent with Dell’s recent XPS 13 models, which are already on sale as Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon X Elite chips, up to 32GB of RAM, OLED display options and premium thin-and-light designs, according to Best Buy and PCWorld.
The benchmark numbers themselves should be treated cautiously. Android Authority noted single-core scores of about 2,200 and multi-core results above 9,500, but pre-release software often performs differently from finished builds and benchmark entries can be manipulated. Even so, the branding is the most striking part of the leak: if Dell does launch a Googlebook as an XPS, it would be the first time Google’s new platform has been paired with one of the company’s flagship laptop names.
