Google is experimenting with a new Pixel feature called Device Help, allowing Gemini to diagnose common phone problems and suggest fixes in everyday language, streamlining troubleshooting for users.
Google is testing a new Pixel feature that would let Gemini diagnose certain phone problems and suggest fixes in plain language, reducing the need to dig through menus for routine troubleshooting. According to Android Authority, the feature is being tested under the name Device Help and is designed to let users describe issues such as rapid battery drain or display problems in everyday terms, after which Gemini analyses the request and returns short guidance. The report said the assistant can also carry out some actions itself, but only after the user approves them, including switching on Battery Saver, Adaptive Battery or Dark theme. That would give Pixel owners a more direct route to common settings changes and basic repairs, especially for problems that do not justify a full support session.
The feature is still in testing and is not yet available to all Pixel users. Android Authority said people who can access it may be able to check within the Gemini app by tapping the “+” symbol in the text entry box. If Google broadens the rollout, Device Help could become part of a wider effort to make on-device assistance more conversational and less dependent on manual navigation.
