Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra boosts battery and displays, complements new power bank options

Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra features an expanded 8-inch AMOLED screen and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, while a range of innovative power banks offer users wider capacity and faster charging options for on-the-go use.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra arrives with a larger 8-inch inner AMOLED panel, a 6.5-inch cover display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and up to 16GB of RAM, according to Samsung’s specification sheet. It also carries a 5,000mAh battery with wired and wireless fast charging, but that still leaves heavy users likely to rely on a portable charger during long days away from a wall socket.

For buyers who want an all-in-one option, Ridge’s MagSafe power bank is a practical pick. The 10,000mAh unit includes built-in Lightning and USB-C cables, support for Apple Watch charging and a kickstand for hands-free use. Best Buy lists it at $79 and says it can deliver up to 20W, with finishes in Matte Black, Matte Olive and Basecamp Orange.

Anker’s Zolo 20,000mAh power bank is aimed at people who want more capacity and faster output. It has an integrated USB-C cable, supports up to 87W charging and can charge as many as three devices at once. Anker also says the bank itself can recharge at up to 65W, which makes it easier to top up between trips.

INIU’s slim 10,000mAh model is the most travel-friendly of the group. At 0.6 inches thick, it is easier to carry in a pocket or small bag, and it can deliver up to 45W through USB-C. It also adds a built-in wall plug, a digital battery read-out and support for charging three devices at the same time.

For a simpler, lower-cost choice, Mophie’s Powerstation Core offers 10,000mAh of capacity, two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Crutchfield lists it at $34.95 and says the charger can supply up to 20W per port, with enough output for three devices at once and an LED indicator for remaining charge.

Belkin’s 20,000mAh power bank sits at the premium end of this group. Belkin says it supports up to 65W charging, with dual USB-C ports and a USB-A port, plus a compact body and a digital display for battery status. At $89.99, it is the most expensive option here, but it is also the strongest choice for users who want higher capacity and a fuller port selection.
