Cabletime has unveiled the ScreenDock on Kickstarter, a USB-C docking station featuring a built-in 5.5-inch, 720p display designed to boost productivity and support content creation, gaming, and home monitoring.
Cabletime has launched the ScreenDock on Kickstarter, pairing a USB-C docking station with a built-in 5.5-inch, 720p companion display aimed at users who want extra screen space without adding a full-size monitor. The company says the device is designed for people who juggle multiple applications and need a secondary panel for reference material, system tools or communication windows while keeping the main screen free for primary work.
Unlike a conventional dock, the ScreenDock lets compatible Windows and macOS users move application windows onto the integrated display as they would on an external monitor. Cabletime says that can be useful for AI chat windows, calendars, notes, dashboards, music controls and weather updates, as well as for keeping meeting agendas, timers and chat visible during video calls. The company also positions the screen as a practical monitor for home security feeds or pet cameras.
The dock is also meant to appeal to gamers and content creators, who can use the small display to track CPU and GPU temperatures, frame rates, render progress, network activity or downloads. Cabletime says the unit is not a standalone smart display: it has no operating system, Wi-Fi or touchscreen, and depends on the connected computer for all content. Users must install the supplied USB display driver before the screen will work.
Beyond the display, the ScreenDock includes an 8-in-1 USB-C hub with HDMI output supporting up to 4K at 60Hz, USB-C Power Delivery passthrough of up to 100W, USB-C and USB-A data ports, SD and microSD card readers and Gigabit Ethernet. Cabletime says the screen angle is adjustable and brightness can be set at three levels. The Kickstarter campaign is expected to run for about 45 days, with early-bird offers available and first deliveries scheduled for October 2026.
