Xiaomi’s Redmi Note line has long occupied the space where aggressive pricing meets unusually ambitious hardware, and the Redmi Note 17 5G continues that formula. MyMobileIndia says the phone starts at Rs. 27,999 and combines a large AMOLED screen with a high-capacity battery in a design that looks more polished than many rivals in the same bracket. Other coverage of the Redmi Note 17 launched in China suggests Xiaomi has leaned heavily on display and endurance, with a 7-inch OLED panel, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits of peak brightness and an 8,000mAh battery with 45W charging.
Even so, the mid-range market remains crowded, and buyers looking at the Redmi Note 17 5G have several strong alternatives. MyMobileIndia points first to the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, priced from Rs. 30,999, which trades on cleaner styling and a more capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. It also offers a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 32-megapixel front camera, making it a more processor-focused option for users who care about camera flexibility as much as industrial design.
OnePlus also remains a serious threat in this segment. According to MyMobileIndia, the Nord CE6 Lite starts at Rs. 24,999 and uses a 6.72-inch LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex 4 chip, a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 7,000mAh battery with 45W charging. For many buyers, the software experience may matter as much as the hardware, and the piece notes that OxygenOS may appeal more than Xiaomi’s HyperOS for those who prefer a cleaner interface.
Nothing and iQoo round out the shortlist for different reasons. MyMobileIndia describes the Nothing Phone (4b), priced from Rs. 29,999, as the most distinctive design in the group, with its Glyph Bar, AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, 50-megapixel main camera and 16-megapixel selfie camera. Its 5,200mAh battery is smaller than the Redmi’s, but the appeal lies in its cleaner software and more unusual look. The iQoo Z11x, by contrast, is positioned as the gaming choice, starting at Rs. 22,999 with a Dimensity 7400 Turbo chip, a 50-megapixel rear camera, a 32-megapixel front camera and a 7,200mAh battery, even if it uses an LCD panel rather than OLED.
