Motorola appears to be preparing a new Edge 70 Neo, with renders showing the phone in four colour options and with differing rear-panel textures on some variants. The design leak suggests the handset will sit alongside the rest of the Edge 70 family as a more compact, style-led model rather than a direct flagship challenger.
IXBT News reported that Motorola had already given an indirect sign that the model is real, after the Edge 70 Neo name surfaced in connection with an Android 17 beta programme in India. That same detail was also noted by Spanish outlet Cinco Días, which said the listing points to a launch that may arrive soon and could target Europe, the UK, Asia and Latin America rather than the US.
If the new phone follows the pattern of previous Neo models, it is likely to be positioned below the standard Edge 70 while borrowing some of its design language. Motorola’s current Edge 70, launched in the US in June and later reviewed in Europe, features a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7450 chip, a 5,000mAh battery and 60W wired charging. Other coverage of the broader Edge 70 line indicates Motorola is leaning heavily into slim hardware, with the Edge 70 described as under 6mm thick and paired with water and dust resistance ratings, wireless charging and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.
Camera capability remains the biggest unknown, but preliminary reports suggest the Edge 70 Neo may move up to a 200-megapixel main camera, while other leaks have pointed to a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a telephoto lens and wireless charging. For now, the most concrete evidence is the combination of renders and the Android beta reference, which together suggest Motorola is nearing an announcement even if final specifications are still in flux.
