Sonic Lamb prepares to launch its innovative Gen 2 wireless headphones in the US, promising an immersive audio experience by allowing listeners to both hear and feel low frequencies through Hybrid Impulse Technology, amid keen interest from audiophiles and gamers alike.
Sonic Lamb is preparing to bring its Gen 2 wireless headphones to the US market, extending a product line built around an unusual claim: that listeners can not only hear low frequencies but feel them. Techaeris reported that the model is due to reach American buyers in September 2026 through the company’s own online store and selected audio retailers, with a listed price of $225, although both timing and pricing remain subject to change.
The design rests on what Sonic Lamb calls Hybrid Impulse Technology, a system that splits audio between a conventional dynamic driver and a separate transducer for deep bass. According to the company and earlier coverage from Forbes, the first driver handles vocals and upper frequencies, while the second converts sub-bass into mechanical vibration that travels through the ear pads and into the head and skin, creating a more physical listening experience than standard air-conduction headphones.
Sonic Lamb has also built a hardware control into the ear cup so users can switch between listening profiles. The available modes range from a neutral setting for speech and acoustic material to stronger bass presets for music, films and gaming. The Gen 2 model was recognised at CES 2026 with an Innovation Award in the headphones and personal audio category, where organisers highlighted its adaptive bass tuning, detachable boom microphone, spatial audio support, noise cancellation and replaceable ear pads.
The broader pitch is aimed at listeners who want a more immersive low-end response without moving to a full speaker system. Sonic Lamb has promoted the headphones as suitable for audiophiles, gamers and bass-focused users, while reviewers and trade publications have previously described the concept as one of the more distinctive headphone designs on the market. The US launch will test whether that novelty translates into wider demand outside the company’s early crowdfunding and international distribution base.
