Xiaomi users can now optimise their devices using HyperOS’s integrated tools, eliminating the need for third-party apps to resolve common slowdown issues caused by background processes and temporary files.
Xiaomi users do not necessarily need a third-party optimisation app to recover some lost speed. The practical fixes are already built into HyperOS, and they focus on the two most common causes of slowdown: accumulated background processes and temporary file clutter. In simple terms, a device that feels sluggish may often need a clean restart and a quick housekeeping pass through Xiaomi’s built-in Security app, rather than a more aggressive intervention.
A full restart remains the first step worth trying. According to Xiaomi’s support guidance and other Android maintenance guides, rebooting the phone closes active apps and processes, clears temporary memory and can also help with issues such as poor connectivity or overheating. Several repair specialists recommend switching the device off completely and leaving it idle for about 10 minutes if performance drops suddenly, while also making a weekly restart part of normal upkeep.
