Creative launches the XF1, a versatile 2.0 desktop speaker system with high-resolution playback, wireless connectivity, and future expansion options, targeting music, film and gaming enthusiasts seeking a premium upgrade for their workspace.
Creative has expanded its desktop audio line with the XF1, a compact 2.0 speaker system aimed at listeners who want a more serious alternative to basic monitor speakers. According to the company’s materials and product listings, the model is designed for music, film and gaming, with a focus on high-resolution playback, flexible connectivity and a small footprint suited to desks and home workspaces.
The core specification is a 72W RMS bi-amplified system, with separate amplification for each driver to improve clarity and separation. Creative says the woofer was shaped using Finite Element Analysis, a design method used to reduce distortion and improve bass control. The speakers also carry Hi-Res Audio certification and are rated to extend up to 40kHz, which places them above the range of standard compressed Bluetooth speakers.
Wireless playback is handled through Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC support, while wired options include USB and AUX, giving the XF1 a wider set of use cases than a typical desktop pair. Creative also says the system can be paired with a future subwoofer through an expansion port, which suggests the speakers are meant to serve as the foundation for a more complete desktop setup rather than a closed, fixed package.
Control is routed through the Creative Nexus app, which includes a 10-band parametric equaliser and more than 100 presets for adjusting the sound profile. The speakers are also supplied with cork stands, a small but practical detail that should help with desk placement and reduce unwanted vibration. Reports from launch coverage indicate pricing around SGD 249 or about $192, with regional roll-outs varying by market and some European listings pointing to a later August sale.
