Ezviz appoints Jamie Durie as Australian brand ambassador to boost local smart home profile

Ezviz has named television presenter and designer Jamie Durie as its Australian brand ambassador, aiming to elevate its presence in the expanding local smart home market amid new product launches and retail expansion.

EZVIZ has named television presenter and designer Jamie Durie as its Australian brand ambassador, a move that the company says will help raise its profile as it expands its local smart home security range. The appointment comes as the brand pushes cameras, video doorbells, smart locks and control screens into major retail channels, while positioning itself around ease of use and connected-home security.

The company says Durie will front advertising, in-store displays, digital campaigns, product launches and trade events. His role also extends to consumer education, reflecting EZVIZ’s effort to present smart security as a mainstream household category rather than a niche technology purchase. Durie has spent more than 30 years building a public profile through landscaping, product design, television and publishing, and he is currently linked to a second series of Future House – Changing the Game, a programme focused on design, sustainability and connected living.

EZVIZ has been broadening its product line at pace. In February 2026, it introduced a 4G and Wi-Fi battery camera family built for areas where home internet is unreliable or unavailable, alongside models aimed at both everyday domestic use and more demanding outdoor conditions. Around the same period, the company also unveiled new smart cleaning robots at Interclean Amsterdam 2026, signalling a wider push beyond security into household automation. Other recent product launches included a 4K indoor camera in April 2026 and the CB8 4G Lite Kit, which supports automatic switching between Wi-Fi 6 and 4G.

The broader strategy is supported by scale. EZVIZ says it operates in more than 130 countries, serves more than 230 million registered users and connects more than 360 million devices worldwide. The company also says it invests more than 14% of annual revenue in research and development and has been recognised by IDC as the world’s top smart home camera brand by 2025 shipments. In Australia and New Zealand, the brand has also expanded into major retailers including JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman, a sign that its local ambitions now extend well beyond online sales.
