Leaked marketing details suggest a limited-edition Pixel Watch 5 featuring Stephen Curry branding and a custom woven strap, set to debut at Google’s Made by Google event next week.
Google is expected to use next week’s Made by Google event to broaden its wearable line-up with a Stephen Curry special edition of the Pixel Watch 5, adding an athlete-focused variant to what is already shaping up to be one of its most closely watched product launches. Leaked marketing material reported by MyMobiles suggests the edition will sit alongside the Pixel 11 family and keep the core watch design intact while adding Curry-specific branding and a custom woven strap.
According to the leaked material, the watch will use a 45mm Polished Silver case and a woven band in stone grey, taupe, orange and brown. A label on the strap carries Stephen Curry’s name and the “#LockIn” mark. The rear of the device appears unchanged, with the haptic crown, side button and familiar 45mm and IP68 markings still in place. Separate leaks from Google’s own app ecosystem have also pointed to the Pixel Watch 5’s imminent arrival, with the device appearing in the Google Health app’s setup menu, which suggests built-in support for the new model.
Pricing appears to be the clearest sign that this is a limited special edition rather than a simple cosmetic refresh. MyMobiles reported that the Curry model is based on the 45mm LTE Pixel Watch 5 and is expected to cost EUR 579.99 in Europe, roughly EUR 30.99 more than the standard version. A reported US price of $669 has also circulated, although the leaked Google material does not confirm pricing for the US or UK. The report also says the special edition will not be sold in every market and will only be available while stocks last.
The strap is expected to be the main functional difference as well as the main visual one. Google’s materials indicate a water-repellent coating on the woven band, but the company also warns that the treatment can wear away over time and that moisture damage after degradation would not be covered. The watch itself is still expected to carry 5ATM and IP68 resistance. Beyond the Curry branding and treated band, the special edition is said to inherit the standard 45mm Pixel Watch 5 specification, including 64GB of storage, Wear OS 7.0 and a 465mAh battery rated for up to 40 hours. The launch is expected on August 12, with Curry due to attend, and the watch face in the leak showing August 20 suggests sales could begin later that month.
