Oppo has increased prices across its K14 and A6 smartphone ranges in India, with some variants now costing up to ₹2,000 more, as industry-wide component shortages drive up costs for budget and mid-range devices.
OPPO has lifted prices across its K14 and A6 smartphone ranges in India again, with some variants now costing as much as ₹2,000 more than before. According to Smartprix, several of the affected models have already gone through two or three rounds of price increases this year, making this the latest in a series of revisions rather than an isolated change.
The latest adjustments cover the K14x, K14, A6c 4G, A6 and A6 Pro. Smartprix said the K14x now starts at ₹17,999 for the 4GB+64GB version, up from ₹16,999, while the K14 has moved to ₹23,999 for its 6GB+128GB model. The A6 Pro’s base variant, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, now costs ₹32,999, up from ₹30,999. In some cases, the increases are cumulative: the K14x has moved from ₹15,999 at launch to ₹17,999, while the standard K14 has climbed from ₹19,999 to ₹23,999 over multiple revisions.
The broader pattern is not limited to these two series. 91Mobiles reported similar upward price changes across OPPO’s K14, K14x and A6 line-ups earlier this year, with increases linked to shortages and higher costs for memory and storage components. It said the K14x base model rose to ₹16,999 at one stage, while the top-end K14 variant saw a larger increase. Other industry trackers have also noted that OPPO has been adjusting prices on the A6, A6 Pro and related models as component costs remain elevated.
OPPO has not offered a public explanation for the latest hike, but the timing matches a wider trend in the Indian smartphone market. Smartprix said rival brands including vivo, Samsung, realme, iQOO, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO and Motorola have also raised prices on budget and mid-range phones as DRAM and NAND flash pricing has strengthened. For buyers, the practical result is straightforward: models that have not changed on the specification sheet are now materially less attractive on value.
