iQOO Z11 set to challenge mid-premium segment in India with aggressive features and pricing

iQOO confirms the launch of the Z11 in India on August 20, featuring MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 Turbo chip, a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, and a 7,050mAh battery, signalling a focused push into the mid-premium smartphone market.

iQOO has confirmed that the Z11 will arrive in India on August 20, positioning the phone as a mid-premium launch with a price below Rs. 40,000. The Vivo-owned brand has also said the handset will be sold through Amazon in Aurora Green and Celestial Blue, signalling a mainstream push for a device that has already been on sale in China since March.

The company’s teasers indicate that the Indian model will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 Turbo chip, which iQOO says will be a key selling point for performance-focused buyers. Early positioning suggests it will compete in a crowded bracket that includes other upper-mid-range Android phones, although iQOO has not yet given a final launch price or full retail configuration.

On the display front, iQOO says the Z11 will use a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness figure of 5,000 nits. The company is also highlighting eye-comfort software, including adjustable protection modes, warmer-tone sleep settings and automatic brightness changes designed to reduce strain during longer viewing sessions. It is also promising AI Captions, AI Creation, AI routing and Circle to Search support.

The battery has been confirmed at 7,050mAh for India, lower than the 9,020mAh cell used in the Chinese version. That model, which Gizmochina said ships with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, a 165Hz refresh rate and the Dimensity 8500 chip, underlines how the Indian edition is being tailored differently for the market. iQOO appears to be balancing design, battery life and software features rather than chasing the exact hardware stack of the Chinese phone.
