Leaked details suggest Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 FE retains core hardware but with a steeper price tag, reflecting rising component costs and minimal upgrades amid design tweaks.
Samsung’s next Fan Edition phone appears set to arrive with very familiar hardware and a higher asking price in Europe. A leak first reported by Dealabs and picked up by Android Central says the Galaxy S26 FE will start at €749 or €799 in France for the 128GB model, depending on the leaked retail grid, with higher-capacity versions also rising sharply. The reports point to a September launch window, with the phone expected to follow Samsung’s usual late-summer Fan Edition timing. The overall picture is clear: the S26 FE may stay near the middle of Samsung’s line-up, but it is unlikely to stay budget-friendly.
The same leaks suggest Samsung is keeping the specification list close to the Galaxy S25 FE. Reported hardware includes an Exynos 2500 chip, 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The display is said to remain a 6.7in OLED panel with a 2,340×1,080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Camera details point to a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 12-megapixel front camera.
Battery information in the leak is more encouraging. The S26 FE is said to use a 4,900mAh cell, possibly built with silicon-carbon chemistry, and support 45W wired charging. The phone is also expected to keep a 7.4mm thickness, although its weight may rise slightly to 193g. Separate design leaks and case renders suggest Samsung is moving the FE series closer to the look of its flagship phones, with a raised camera island replacing the older individual lens cut-outs.
The pricing story fits a wider pattern across Samsung’s 2026 product plans. Android Central reported that rising memory and component costs are putting pressure on the company’s broader Galaxy S strategy, especially as demand for DRAM has climbed alongside AI data-centre growth. That helps explain why a phone with largely familiar specifications could still cost more than its predecessor. Samsung has not announced the Galaxy S26 FE, so the details remain unconfirmed, but the leak suggests the company may be asking buyers to pay more without delivering a major hardware reset.
