The attraction is not only the price but also the promise of lower-maintenance monitoring.
The solar panels are the key selling point. Once fitted, they keep the batteries topped up through daily exposure to sunlight, reducing the need for manual charging. That is particularly useful for cameras mounted high up or in awkward places. Homes Systems Guide noted in its review that battery life can vary depending on use, which makes the solar accessory more appealing in busy areas.
