VoiceBit AI introduces a ChatGPT-powered system enabling restaurants to offer in-chat menus and order placement, aiming to streamline customer experience and boost revenue by eliminating third-party commissions.
VoiceBit AI has launched a ChatGPT ordering integration that lets restaurants surface menus and take orders inside chatbot conversations, aiming to capture diners at the point of decision. According to the company’s announcement, the system is built with OpenAI’s Apps SDK and is designed to let users search for nearby dining options, compare restaurants and complete purchases without leaving ChatGPT.
The platform is intended to make the ordering process more direct for both sides. Customers can ask for meals that match dietary needs, budgets or group size, then browse menus, customise selections and place an order in one flow. VoiceBit says this removes several steps from the usual online ordering journey, where users often move between search results, restaurant websites and third-party apps.
VoiceBit chief executive Hitesh Kenjale said the company was created to help restaurants transact directly with customers under a zero-commission model. Chief technology officer Jay Patel said the main commercial benefit is that restaurants keep the full value of each order and retain customer data rather than passing it to outside delivery platforms.
The company’s broader product set already covers phone AI, web ordering, SMS marketing and delivery tools, and it supports a range of restaurant systems, including Toast, Square, Clover, Aloha by NCR, Oracle Restaurants, Dripos and GoTab. VoiceBit’s materials say the ChatGPT integration is part of the same strategy: connect ordering channels to existing point-of-sale and kitchen workflows, reduce manual re-entry and help operators handle more demand with less staff disruption.
