Anker’s GaNPrime charger gets a 35% discount in Japan, promising portable power for multiple devices

Amazon Japan is offering a significant discount on Anker’s 67W GaNPrime wall charger, a compact, multi-port device designed to streamline charging for smartphones, laptops, and accessories, with the promotion lasting until August 16.

Amazon is discounting Anker’s Prime Wall Charger, cutting the Japanese list price of the 67W, three-port GaN model to ¥5,490 from ¥8,490, a reduction of ¥3,000 or 35%. The promotion runs until August 16 at 11:59 pm, according to the listing. The charger is positioned as a single-device solution for users who want to power a phone, laptop and accessories without carrying several adapters.

According to Anker’s Japanese product page, the charger combines two USB-C ports and one USB-A port in a compact body designed to be around half the size of a typical 67W charger. The foldable plug is intended to improve portability, especially for travel and commuting. Anker says the unit is built on its GaNPrime platform, which uses gallium nitride components to reduce size while supporting higher output.

The company also says its PowerIQ 4.0 system distributes power across connected devices to improve charging efficiency, while ActiveShield 2.0 monitors temperature and adds protection during longer sessions. Anker’s US product page states the charger can deliver up to 67W to a single device, 65W when two devices are connected and 64.5W across three devices, depending on the power split.

Anker says the charger is compatible with a wide range of devices, including iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple Watch, Android smartphones and Windows PCs. That broad support makes it a practical option for mixed-device households and mobile workers, particularly those trying to simplify desk setups or trim luggage. Macworld’s review of the model was also positive, noting its compact size, travel-friendly plug and stable operating temperature during use.
