Vivo introduces more affordable X300 FE variant in India amid price hikes

Vivo expands its X300 FE lineup in India by launching a new 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, offering a lower starting price as the company adjusts prices following recent hikes. The device retains high-end features including Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, advanced camera system, and water resistance.

Vivo has broadened the X300 FE line-up in India by adding an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, replacing the previous 12GB-plus-256GB version as the entry point to the range. The move comes shortly after the company raised prices on the existing configurations by Rs. 10,000, a change Vivo has tied to rising memory and storage costs. The new version brings the starting price down to Rs. 84,999, while the 12GB-plus-256GB model now costs Rs. 89,999 and the 12GB-plus-512GB variant is listed at Rs. 99,999. The handset is sold in Lilac Purple, Noir Black and Urban Olive.

According to Vivo’s India store and recent launch coverage, the X300 FE remains unchanged apart from the new memory option. It runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and uses a 6.31-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and peak brightness rated at up to 5,000 nits. The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset with an Adreno 829 GPU, LPDDR5x Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage.

The camera system is anchored by a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor, joined by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 50-megapixel front camera is also included. Vivo says the device has a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, plus a compact body measuring 150.83 x 71.76 x 7.99mm and weighing about 191g. The new configuration is on sale through Amazon, Flipkart and Vivo’s online store, with bank offers and exchange bonuses also being promoted.
