Vivo has launched its latest premium foldable smartphone, the X Fold6, boasting a 200MP camera, a 7,000mAh battery, and an ultra-slim design, setting new standards in the foldable device market.
Vivo’s X Fold6 has arrived as a heavily specified foldable aimed at the premium end of the market, pairing a large internal display with a 7,000mAh battery and a 200-megapixel main camera system. According to Vivo’s product page and reports from Gizmochina, the phone was unveiled in China on June 26 and went on sale on July 1, but there is still no confirmed global release plan.
The device’s design follows the familiar book-style foldable format, opening to an 8.02-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,312 by 2,504 pixels. When folded, it uses a 6.51-inch external screen. Gizguide says the handset measures as little as 4.4mm to 4.8mm when unfolded and weighs between 228g and 235g, putting it among the slimmer large-screen foldables in current circulation.
Inside, Vivo pairs the X Fold6 with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chip, alongside memory and storage options that run up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The phone ships with Android 16 and OriginOS 6 Fold in China, according to Vivo’s specification listing.
Camera hardware is another major selling point. Vivo says the rear array combines a 200-megapixel wide sensor with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, while Spanish publication Cinco Días reported ZEISS branding, 3x optical zoom and support for the ZEISS Teleconverter G2 accessory. Front cameras on both the main and cover displays are 20-megapixel units.
Battery and charging specifications are equally aggressive. Vivo lists a 7,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging, 40W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. Gizmochina and Vivo’s own specifications also place the X Fold6 in a price range of CNY 7,999 to CNY 11,299 in China, depending on configuration, with colour options that vary by market report.
For buyers tracking foldables as productivity devices, the X Fold6 looks like a direct play for endurance, camera quality and large-screen multitasking. Oispice notes the model is positioned as a premium foldable with strong multitasking credentials and a relatively narrow profile, though it also flags some conflicting processor details across sources, reinforcing the need to rely on Vivo’s own specifications where possible.
