Realme has launched the 16x 5G in India, featuring a 7,000 mAh battery designed to appeal to heavy mobile users, combined with a high-refresh display and cooling hardware to set it apart from mid-range rivals.
Realme has placed battery endurance at the centre of the 16x 5G’s India launch, giving the handset a 7,000 mAh cell that sets it apart from many mid-range rivals. According to launch information carried by Unbox Daily HQ, the phone is designed for users who spend long periods on gaming, streaming and mobile data, with the battery paired to a 144Hz display and vapour chamber cooling. That combination suggests Realme is treating stamina as a core feature rather than an added extra.
The display is a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits, the launch details say. A higher refresh rate can make scrolling and supported games feel smoother, but it also tends to draw more power, which helps explain the emphasis on the larger battery. In practical terms, the extra capacity should reduce the need for mid-day charging for heavy users.
Performance is handled by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chip, built on a 6nm process, while the software package is Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. The rear camera system is led by a 50-megapixel main sensor, with an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Taken together, the specifications point to a phone aimed at everyday use with an emphasis on endurance and steady mid-range performance.
Pricing, however, is less clear across reports. Unbox Daily HQ lists the 4GB RAM plus 128GB storage version at ₹25,999 and a 6GB plus 256GB model at ₹30,999, along with another 6GB plus 128GB configuration. By contrast, Techoper, 91Mobiles and Beebom have each reported earlier estimates placing the phone below ₹18,000, suggesting that leaked expectations and launch pricing do not match. That gap matters for buyers, because it changes the handset’s position in the market from budget-focused to much more expensive.
The phone is offered in Endurance Brown and Glory White, with sales in India set to begin on August 13, 2026, through Amazon, Flipkart and offline retail partners. Gadgets 360 said the model had already cleared BIS certification, which generally indicates a launch is close. Realme’s strategy appears clear: compete on battery life first, then support that with a high-refresh display, cooling hardware and 5G connectivity.
