Google’s Pixel 11 series set to disrupt smartphone market with foldable and ecosystem upgrades

Google is preparing to unveil its Pixel 11 series in New York on August 12, featuring four models and new ecosystem gadgets, with early pre-orders and a potential global release including India.

Google is set to unveil the Pixel 11 series at its Made by Google event in New York on August 12, with the company streaming the launch live on YouTube for viewers in India at 3:30 a.m. IST on August 13. Google’s invitation refers to “the next generation of Pixel”, and reports say the event will centre on the Pixel 11 line rather than a broader hardware refresh.

The launch is expected to cover four phones: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Google has also hinted at a wider ecosystem update, with reports pointing to a Pixel Watch 5, a Pixel Tag tracker and a new Pixel Buds Pro 2 colour.

Pre-orders appear to be moving quickly into place. According to AndroidPure and other reports, the Google Store has already begun teasing the line-up with messaging that pre-orders start on August 12, the same day as the event, rather than in a later wave. The store is also offering an email sign-up deal tied to eligible Pixel Buds or a Pixel Watch when bought with a new Pixel 11 handset.

In India, availability is expected to run through Flipkart, with current reporting suggesting orders could open around the launch window and shipments may begin on August 20. That timing would also cover the foldable model, although Google has not yet confirmed retail dates or a wider in-store roll-out. Leaks circulating ahead of the event point to a familiar design language, a Tensor G6 chip, a revised camera package and upgraded display brightness, while some reports say the Pro models may add features such as higher-end zoom and 8K video recording. Another claim under discussion is a new Pixel Glow light feature, described as a circular LED system for notifications.
