Questyle has introduced the QCC Dongle Pro 2, a compact USB-C Bluetooth transmitter positioned as a higher-end way to sidestep the codec limits built into many devices. The company says the new model is designed to improve wireless audio performance on platforms that often leave users stuck with basic Bluetooth support, including iPhone, PC and game consoles.
The appeal is straightforward. Apple devices still do not natively support higher-end Bluetooth codecs such as LDAC or aptX Adaptive, while Windows PCs can vary widely in implementation and stability. Questyle’s answer is an external plug-and-play transmitter that adds broader codec support without requiring the host device to handle the audio chain itself.
According to Questyle’s Japanese announcement, the Dongle Pro 2 supports Bluetooth 6.1, LHDC-V5, LC3, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless. It also adds Auracast, the broadcast mode that lets one source send audio to multiple compatible receivers at the same time. Questyle says the dongle is compatible with iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac, PS5, Switch, Xbox and wired hi-fi gear such as its own M18i Max.
The device is being sold as a small, portable accessory rather than a full-size audio component. Reviews of the earlier QCC Dongle Pro highlighted its tiny form factor, low weight and ease of use, with one assessment from TechRadar noting that the original model weighed just 2.5 grams and measured 25mm by 10mm by 15mm. The same review also pointed to its appeal for iPhone owners looking for better codec support without a more complicated setup.
Pricing remains at $99, with availability listed through Amazon UK, Amazon US and Questyle’s own shop. Questyle Japan said pre-orders began on May 29, 2026, with release planned for June 5, 2026.
