Google launches the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in Malaysia, boasting a tougher, lighter design with new durability features, a powerful Tensor G6 chip, and dual displays reaching 3,600 nits of brightness ahead of its 20 August release.
Google has unveiled the Pixel 11 Pro Fold for Malaysia, opening pre-orders immediately ahead of a 20 August launch at RM7,999. The foldable is pitched as a tougher, lighter successor to last year’s model, with Google claiming a gearless hinge, IP68 dust and water resistance, a thinner frame and brighter displays are central to the redesign.
The company says the device is built around durability. Its back panel uses a glass fibre composite intended to reduce cracking, while the outer screen is protected by ceramic cover glass. The new hinge design also uses a wider bend radius and thicker inner glass to make the crease less visible and to better shield the flexible panel from wear.
Inside, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold uses Google’s Tensor G6 chip, paired with 16GB of memory and storage options of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB. Google is leaning heavily on the chip for its Gemini-powered software features, including proactive assistance, improved Circle to Search integration, desktop-style app bubbles and Sign-to-Text support for American Sign Language. The camera system combines a 48MP main sensor with telephoto and ultrawide lenses, while new tools such as Magic Capture, Camera Looks and Made You Look animations are also included.
Google says the foldable’s 8.0-inch inner display and 6.5-inch outer display can reach 3,600 nits of peak brightness, which would make them easier to read outdoors. Battery claims include more than 24 hours of use, 30W wired charging and Qi2.2 wireless charging at up to 25W. In Malaysia, the phone will be sold in Obsidian and Olive, although Google Store exclusivity applies to the Olive finish, and local availability is expected through carriers and retailers including CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, Urban Republic, Senheng, Shopee and Thundermatch.
