Panasonic's LUMIX L10 redefines compact photography with premium features in India

Panasonic launches the new LUMIX L10 in India, a compact fixed-lens camera equipped with Leica optics, AI-focused autofocus and a stylish design, marking the brand’s 25th anniversary.

Panasonic has brought its new LUMIX L10 fixed-lens camera to India, positioning it as a compact option for street, travel and everyday photography as the LUMIX brand marks its 25th anniversary. The company says the model is designed to feel natural in the hand while combining premium materials, a Leica-branded zoom lens and AI-assisted focusing in a body weighing 508g.

The camera centres on a Leica DC Vario-Summilux 24-75mm lens with an f/1.7 to f/2.8 aperture range and 3cm macro capability. Panasonic pairs that optic with a 20.4-megapixel, 4/3-type back-illuminated CMOS sensor, while multi-aspect shooting is intended to keep the angle of view unchanged across 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 formats. The company also says Dynamic Range Boost is designed to preserve shadow detail in difficult lighting.

For autofocus, the LUMIX L10 uses a 779-point Phase Hybrid AF system with AI-based subject recognition for eyes, faces, bodies, animals and vehicles. Panasonic also highlights an Urban Sports mode for fast-moving scenes, along with its L.Classic and L.ClassicGold photo styles and REAL TIME LUT support for loading custom colour profiles. According to Panasonic’s launch material, the camera is meant to give users more creative control without adding much operational complexity.

The body includes a 2.36-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 1.84-million-dot free-angle monitor that can be adjusted for horizontal and vertical framing. The LUMIX Lab app allows image transfer and editing on a smartphone. In India, Panasonic has set the price at Rs. 1,79,990 and said sales will begin in August 2026, with Black and Silver versions listed in the local announcement. Panasonic’s regional and international launch material also refers to a Titanium Gold Special Edition for the 25th anniversary line-up.
