T-Mobile launches aggressive Pixel 11 pre-order campaign with substantial trade-in deals and network upgrades

T-Mobile has opened pre-orders for Google’s new Pixel 11 series, offering significant trade-in discounts and highlighting network enhancements with 5G Advanced features and Starlink integration, ahead of the phones’ August 20 release.

T-Mobile has opened pre-orders for Google’s new Pixel 11 range, with the phones and Pixel Watch 5 set to ship and reach stores on August 20, according to the carrier. The line-up includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold and the latest watch, marking one of the more aggressive launch pushes in the Android market this year.

The strongest promotion is aimed at customers willing to add a line or trade in an eligible device. T-Mobile says the Pixel 11 Pro XL can be taken for up to $1,300 off on its Experience Beyond 2.0 plan with Go5G Next, while the Pixel 11 Pro is available for up to $1,100 off on Experience More 2.0 with Go5G Plus. The standard Pixel 11 is being offered free, or for up to $900 off, with a new line on most plans, including Essentials 2.0. For buyers who do not want to trade in a phone or open a new line, T-Mobile is also introducing EIP Flex 36, a 36-month financing option that allows qualifying customers to take a Pixel home with no money down.

The watch is getting its own incentive. T-Mobile says the 41mm Pixel Watch 5 costs $200 and the 45mm model costs $230 when a customer adds a new watch line on Watch Plan Plus, which the carrier says is a discount of up to $300. Business customers are being given similar pricing through SuperMobile plans. Standard financing through T-Mobile also starts at $25 a month for the base Pixel 11 and rises to $52.78 a month for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, according to pricing listed by the company.

T-Mobile is also tying the launch to its network claims. The carrier says the Pixel 11 family is its first Pixel line to support 5G Advanced features such as 6-carrier aggregation and Uplink Transmit Switching, which are intended to improve download and upload performance in crowded areas such as stadiums and airports. It also says qualifying Pixel 11 owners can use T-Satellite with Starlink when they move beyond normal cellular coverage. Android Central reported ahead of the launch that the Pixel 11 series is expected to build on the previous generation with the Tensor G6 chip, camera and efficiency improvements and, in some models, a higher starting price. The broader launch also lands against a backdrop of rising handset prices and fewer deep discounts on older models, making carrier incentives more important for buyers weighing whether to upgrade now or wait.
