Huawei has launched the Watch GT 7 series in China, introducing two models that focus more on refinement than revolution, with extended battery life, new colour options, and upgraded materials for the flagship Pro version.
Huawei has introduced the Watch GT 7 series in China, adding two new models that largely refine rather than rework the company’s long-running smartwatch line. The range includes the standard Watch GT 7 and the Watch GT 7 Pro, both positioned as fitness-focused wearables with the kind of multi-week battery life Huawei has made central to the series.
The standard Watch GT 7 comes in 41mm and 46mm sizes, while the Pro model is offered only in a 46mm version. According to the launch details reported by Noypigeeks, the smaller watch carries a 1.32-inch AMOLED display, while the larger models use a 1.47-inch panel. All versions are said to reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, which should help legibility outdoors.
Battery life remains one of the main selling points. Huawei says the 41mm model can last up to 14 days on a charge, while the larger watches are rated for up to 21 days under normal use. The standard model uses a stainless steel case with a fibre-reinforced composite back, whereas the Pro version steps up to a titanium alloy case and a nanocrystalline ceramic rear panel. Both watches include optical heart-rate sensing and a broad set of sports and health features, but only the Pro gets ECG support.
The launch follows a series of pre-release reports that suggested Huawei would keep the GT 7 family in familiar size tiers while refreshing the colour options and minor hardware details. Huaweicentral said the standard model may arrive in multiple colours across its two case sizes, while the Pro could come in fewer finishes. The same reports also pointed to a late-July or August unveiling window, although Huawei had not formally confirmed those timelines at the time. Release plans for markets outside China, including the Philippines, remain unclear.
