Google launches its Pixelsnap Charger with Stand, harnessing the new Qi2 magnetic charging standard to improve convenience and compatibility across Pixel and other Android devices, now available at half price.
Wireless charging can remove one small daily irritation, and Google’s Pixelsnap Charger with Stand is one of the clearer examples of that convenience. WIRED says the bundle is currently half price at $35, down from $70, making it cheaper than buying the charger on its own. The design follows Google’s rounded Pixel aesthetic, with a puck that sits neatly in a curved dock for bedside use, desk charging or keeping a phone visible as it powers up. The charger is built around Qi2 magnetic alignment, the newer standard that uses magnets to place the handset correctly on the coil for more reliable charging.
Google’s own product pages say the charger is aimed at the Pixel 10 family, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, but it also works with other Qi2-certified devices. The company says the Pixel 10 Pro XL can charge at up to 25 watts, while other Pixel 10 models and compatible Qi2 devices top out at 15 watts. Google also says the accessory comes with an integrated USB-C cable, while the power adapter is sold separately. The charger is available in Fog, uses at least 15% recycled materials and arrives in plastic-free packaging.
The stand adds a practical feature that the puck alone cannot provide: it can hold the phone in portrait or landscape mode, which makes it useful for alarms, video calls or watching content while charging. Google says it is also compatible with foldable phones whether they are open or closed. WIRED notes that the charging puck can be removed from the stand and attached directly to the back of a supported phone, so users can keep scrolling without unplugging anything.
The wider context is that Qi2 is becoming the magnetic charging standard to watch across both Android and Apple ecosystems. Google’s support pages say Pixelsnap should not be treated as an accessory for earlier Pixel models or for Pixel Buds. For best results, the company recommends a USB-PD power adapter, such as its 45W charger, because the adapter is not included. That matters for buyers comparing the bundle with rivals: Android Central reports that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold has native Qi2 magnetic support, while Samsung’s Galaxy S26 family is Qi2-certified but still needs a case with magnets to use the system properly.
