Acer has launched the Go Air, an ultraportable Windows laptop featuring a slim magnesium-aluminium chassis, 12GB RAM, and Intel’s new Wildcat Lake processors, targeting portable productivity on par with the MacBook Air.
Acer has unveiled the Go Air, a slim Windows laptop pitched at users who want portability without moving to a MacBook. The machine measures 12.99mm thick and weighs 1.19kg, placing it firmly in the ultraportable category, while its magnesium-aluminium chassis is meant to keep the structure light and rigid.
According to the Chinese listing cited by Rozetked, the Go Air is currently available only for pre-order in China, with the 12GB/512GB version priced at 5,499 yuan, or about 69,400 roubles. Other reports put the wider starting price at 5,299 yuan for a Core 5 model, with a higher Core 7 configuration at 5,699 yuan, suggesting Acer may be segmenting the range by processor choice. Acer has not yet indicated whether the model will be sold internationally.
The laptop is built around Intel’s Core 5 320 from the Wildcat Lake line, with two performance cores and four efficiency cores, alongside Intel Xe3 graphics. It ships with 12GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 512GB SSD. The display is a 14-inch 1080p panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a specification that is less ambitious than some rival listings, which describe a 2.2K screen with full sRGB coverage. Acer also appears to have equipped the device with two Thunderbolt 4 ports and one USB-A port, while other coverage mentions broader connectivity including HDMI and additional Type-C support on certain configurations.
Battery life is rated at up to 11 hours of web browsing, backed by a 70Wh battery and a 100W USB-C charger in the box. That sits below the 60Wh to 70Wh battery claims found in different reports, but the general picture is consistent: Acer is targeting the same market as thin-and-light Windows alternatives that compete on weight, battery life and everyday productivity rather than gaming or heavy creative work.
