Acer begins international rollout of the refreshed TravelMate P4 Spin 14, featuring Intel’s Panther Lake platform and upgradeable components, aiming to boost its competitiveness in the premium business convertible market.
Acer has begun rolling out the TravelMate P4 Spin 14 to international markets, with Europe first in line and US sales now appearing through third-party retailers rather than Acer’s own direct channel. The convertible business laptop was first shown in March alongside the TravelMate P2 family, but the new version marks a broader hardware refresh, shifting to Intel’s latest Panther Lake platform after earlier TravelMate models used Arrow Lake-U chips.
The machine is built around a 14-inch chassis and is aimed at mobile office use. Acer says the design supports user-upgradeable memory and storage, with two SODIMM slots and one M.2 SSD slot. That is notable in a market where many thin-and-light business laptops have fixed components. Notebookcheck reports that the Spin model weighs about 1.4kg and includes a 71Wh battery, while the panel options include a 2,880 x 1,800 IPS display with 350 nits of brightness and a 60Hz refresh rate.
Pricing is varied by market and configuration. In the United States, the base version is listed at $1,829 with a Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 512GB SSD. In Europe, Acer’s starting price is €1,595 for a model with a 1200p IPS screen and the same core memory and storage specification. A French configuration with a Core Ultra 5 322 is priced at €1,699, while higher-end European variants move up to the Core Ultra 7 355, with the top model reaching €2,399 when paired with 32GB of memory and a 1TB drive.
The TravelMate line has long been positioned as a durable enterprise family, and Acer’s earlier announcements emphasised aluminium-magnesium construction, recycled plastics and MIL-STD 810H testing. Previous Spin P4 generations also added business-focused features such as a fingerprint reader, an IR camera and stylus input. The new model continues that formula, but the main shift is the move to a newer Intel platform and a more modern display option, which should make the range more competitive against other premium business convertibles.
