A range of sub-€300 smartwatches now offer premium health tracking, robust designs, and full smartphone functionalities, with models like Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro, Xiaomi Watch 5, and Apple Watch SE 3 leading the charge for different user needs.
With so many smartwatches on the market, the best choice is often not the most expensive one but the one that balances battery life, health tracking and platform support. According to MovilZona, a budget of under €300 is now enough to buy models with premium screens, advanced sensors and strong sports functions, while recent reviews from TechRadar and Gizmochina suggest that the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro is one of the most complete options in that price band. It combines a slim rectangular design with a titanium-alloy finish, a 1.92-inch AMOLED display, dual-band GPS and Huawei’s TruSense and TruSleep health systems, although its limited third-party app support remains a clear trade-off.
Xiaomi’s Watch 5 takes a different approach. The model uses a 47mm stainless steel case, a 1.54-inch AMOLED panel with up to 1,500 nits of brightness and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 chip, which supports Wear OS features such as Bluetooth calls, NFC payments and access to Gemini, according to Xiaomi launch details and analysis by Xataka. That makes it a stronger choice for users who want a fuller smartphone-style experience on the wrist. Battery life is still respectable, with up to 6 days in standard use and much longer in power-saving mode, but the software-heavy approach is aimed more at convenience than at the stripped-back efficiency of a pure fitness watch.
For iPhone owners, the Apple Watch SE 3 remains the most natural pick in this price range, because it offers the closest integration with iOS. MovilZona highlights its Retina LTPO OLED display, Apple S10 chip and watchOS software, plus features such as crash detection, fall alerts, GPS and water resistance to 50 metres. Apple also claims up to 18 hours of normal use and as much as 32 hours in low-power mode. That is far less endurance than some rivals, but the SE 3 keeps the smartwatch experience fast, polished and easy to use for people already inside Apple’s ecosystem.
At the tougher end of the market sits the Amazfit T-Rex 3, which is built for durability rather than elegance. MovilZona describes it as the most rugged option in the selection, with an AMOLED display, a reinforced bezel, long battery life and support for multiband GPS, topographic maps and more than 150 sports modes. For hikers, runners and users who need a watch that can cope with harsher conditions, that combination is hard to ignore. Taken together, these models show how competitive the sub-€300 segment has become: buyers can now choose between premium health features, advanced software, Apple integration or outright toughness without crossing into flagship pricing.
