Apple opens pre-orders for iPhone 18 Pro and foldable iPhone Duo in India with launch delays for the latter

Apple has begun pre-orders for its latest premium iPhones in India, including the Pro models and the eagerly anticipated foldable iPhone Duo, with the latter expected to launch later in October amid a staggered product release schedule.

Apple has opened pre-orders in India for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, with both premium models due to reach customers from 18 September. According to Apple’s Indian online store, the company is also taking advance orders for the iPhone Duo, its first foldable handset, but that device is not expected to go on sale until 16 October.

The Pro line begins at ₹1,64,900 for the iPhone 18 Pro and ₹1,79,900 for the Pro Max. Apple is offering 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB versions, alongside black, silver, glacier and burgundy finishes. That places the top-end storage tiers at ₹3,14,900 for the iPhone 18 Pro and ₹3,29,900 for the Pro Max, according to the pricing published by Apple and reported by technology outlets covering the launch.

Buyers can reserve the phones through Apple’s online store, the Apple Store app, Amazon, Flipkart, Vijay Sales, Croma and other authorised retailers. Launch-period incentives include instant cashback on eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards, as well as six months of no-cost EMI. The reported EMI starts at ₹26,316 a month for the iPhone 18 Pro and ₹28,817 for the Pro Max, while trade-in credit can reduce the effective cost further depending on the device being exchanged.

Pre-ordering is being positioned as the best way to secure first-day delivery and avoid the longer wait times that often follow a major iPhone release. Retail guidance published by Gadgets 360 and other outlets says the process is straightforward: choose the model, storage and colour, then complete payment and delivery details. Apple’s store suggests that the broader product refresh is staggered, with the foldable iPhone Duo held back for a later October launch.
