Apple is positioning its new HomeView smart home hub alongside Apple TV 4K at matching prices, while limiting HomeView sales to markets where Siri AI is supported.
Apple is keeping the price of HomeView and the new Apple TV 4K closely aligned in key markets, with both devices listed at £299 in the UK, C$429 in Canada and A$449 in Australia, according to Apple’s online stores and its launch material. In India, both are shown at ₹39,900, while the US price is $299 for each product. Apple says both arrive on Friday, 13 November.
The matched pricing is not limited to those markets. Apple’s own regional store pages show the same pattern in New Zealand, Singapore and India, where HomeView and Apple TV 4K are positioned as companion launches rather than separate tiers of hardware. Apple’s UK and Indian newsroom posts confirm pre-orders opened on 13 October and that availability begins on 13 November, reinforcing the company’s broader launch timetable.
HomeView itself is being sold more selectively than Apple TV 4K. According to Apple’s announcement, the smart home hub is available through Apple’s own stores in seven countries, with South Africa handled through Apple Authorised Resellers rather than Apple’s online shop. Apple also says HomeView is not for sale in the European Union because Siri AI is not yet available in iOS there. That restriction does not affect Apple TV 4K in the same way, as the streaming box is offered in a wider range of countries and regions.
Apple’s approach to Siri AI support is uneven across the product line. The company says Siri AI works at launch in English in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa, which are the same eight countries where HomeView is sold. On the Apple TV 4K pages outside those markets, Siri AI is often absent from the product descriptions altogether, although Hong Kong’s store page says the feature is “rolling out in English”.
Local store conditions also vary. Apple caps purchases in Singapore at two HomeView units and two wall-mounted units per customer, while the Apple TV 4K listing there limits buyers to six devices and tells them to check back later for availability. Hong Kong and Taiwan also have a six-device limit on Apple TV 4K, and Mexico’s page shows a price of MX$6,299 or 18 interest-free monthly payments, alongside an availability notice. Apple says the box includes the fourth-generation Siri Remote and a power cord, with HDMI and USB-C cables sold separately.
