Apple has launched its latest compact tablet in the Philippines, pairing an OLED display and Apple Intelligence with prices reaching ₱87,990 for the highest-specification model.
Apple has brought the iPad mini with the A20 Pro chip to the Philippines, positioning the compact tablet as a premium small-format device with prices starting at ₱49,990 for the 128GB Wi-Fi model. YugaTech reported that the device is now officially listed locally, with configurations rising to ₱87,990 for the 512GB Wi-Fi + Cellular version with nano-texture glass.
The new model keeps the familiar mini form factor but moves to an 8.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. Apple says the panel supports P3 wide colour, True Tone, anti-reflective treatment and peak HDR brightness of up to 1,200 nits, while the optional nano-texture finish is limited to the 256GB and 512GB variants. According to the local listing, the tablet also supports Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C), alongside Bluetooth keyboards for more traditional productivity use.
At the core is the A20 Pro chip, which YugaTech says is paired with a 5-core CPU and 7-core GPU on the 128GB and standard 256GB versions. Higher-capacity models are reported to gain a 6-core CPU and dual 16-core Neural Engine configuration, suggesting Apple is separating the entry and top-end versions more sharply than in some previous iPad ranges. The tablet also supports Apple Intelligence, which remains a key part of Apple’s current software pitch across its newer devices.
Camera hardware is modest but functional, with a 12-megapixel rear camera that can record 4K video and a 12-megapixel front camera arranged for Centre Stage in landscape orientation. The Philippine pricing table published by YugaTech shows a wide spread across storage and connectivity options, from ₱49,990 for the base Wi-Fi model to ₱80,990 for the top-end 512GB Wi-Fi + Cellular configuration, with nano-texture versions adding a further premium.
