Apple’s foldable iPhone Duo lands in Indonesia at up to Rp75.9m

Apple has opened pre-orders for its first foldable iPhone in Indonesia, with prices ranging from Rp45.7m to Rp75.9m ahead of sales starting on 30 October 2026.

Apple has opened Indonesian pre-orders for the iPhone Duo, its first foldable handset, with sales beginning on 23 October 2026 at 09.00 WIB and general availability due on 30 October 2026, according to the company’s newsroom announcement and local retailer listings. The launch gives Apple a direct entry into a segment long dominated by rivals such as Samsung and Huawei, and it arrives with the familiar premium positioning that has defined the brand’s top-end devices.

According to Apple, the iPhone Duo uses a 7.6-inch main display and a 5.4-inch outer screen, both built on OLED panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. The company says the handset is powered by the A20 Pro chip on a 2nm process and runs iOS 27.1 with Apple Intelligence integrated for on-device artificial intelligence features. Apple also says the device will be sold in Star White and Night Sky, with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB.

Pricing in Indonesia places the device firmly in ultra-premium territory. Local retailer pages and Indonesian tech reports list the 256GB model at Rp45,678,910, while the 2TB version reaches Rp75,999,000. That pricing structure is broadly consistent across official reseller channels, including iBox and Digimap, which have both begun taking orders, while other local listings have also carried the same launch window.

Apple says the iPhone Duo is built with environmental measures that include 35% recycled content and production using 60% renewable energy. Those claims sit alongside the company’s usual emphasis on energy efficiency and chemical safety, which it says are part of the device’s manufacturing standards. The broader message is that Apple is presenting the model not only as a design milestone, but also as part of its sustainability narrative.

Camera hardware is another central part of the pitch. Apple says the rear system comprises a 48-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, the foldable has a 48-megapixel camera on the inner display and a 12-megapixel camera on the outer screen. Local coverage also points to a 4,883mAh battery, a capacity intended to support two high-refresh OLED panels and the demands of Apple’s new software and AI stack.
