The latest dual-screen laptop features the new Intel Core Ultra X9 Series processor, enhanced AI capabilities, and a redesigned, portable chassis aimed at creators and professionals in Brazil.
ASUS has launched the Zenbook Duo in Brazil, bringing a dual-screen laptop to the local market with a new Intel Core Ultra X9 Series 3 processor and a design aimed at users who need portable productivity rather than a conventional clamshell notebook. The company said the model arrived in the country on 12 August and comes shortly after ASUS said it moved into the top position in Brazil’s notebook market, according to GfK.
The launch builds on a line that dates back to the 2012 Taichi, which ASUS described as the first dual-screen notebook in the world. The new Zenbook Duo is lighter and more compact than earlier versions, with a combined weight of 1.65 kg including the detachable keyboard, and a chassis that is 5% smaller than the 2025 model. ASUS also said the gap between the two 14-inch OLED panels has been cut by 70%.
At the core of the machine is Intel’s latest mobile platform, which ASUS says delivers up to 180 TOPS of AI performance through the Intel Core Ultra X9 chip, integrated Arc B390 graphics and a 16-core CPU. The company claimed internal testing showed faster multitasking, improved gaming graphics and much stronger AI processing than the previous-generation Zenbook Duo. To support the higher performance target, ASUS redesigned the cooling system with larger fans and set thermal power at up to 45 watts.
The notebook also introduces a dual-battery setup with 99Wh of combined capacity. ASUS said that can deliver up to 32 hours of video playback on a single screen, or up to 18 hours with both displays active, while fast charging can take the battery to 60% in 49 minutes over USB-C. The chassis uses the company’s Ceraluminum material, which it says is lighter and more resistant to scratches than anodised aluminium, and the hinge design supports five usage modes without extra accessories.
ASUS priced the Zenbook Duo at R$29,999 in Brazil, where it is being sold through the ASUS store and major retailers. The wider launch fits a broader push by the company to position the model as a premium device for creators and professionals who want desktop-style flexibility in a laptop form factor.
