ASUS launches lightweight Zenbook 14 Copilot+ with AI focus in the UAE

ASUS has introduced its lightweight Zenbook 14 Copilot+ PC in the UAE, featuring a Snapdragon X system-on-chip, a high-resolution OLED display, and AI capabilities, targeting mobile users, students, and professionals. The device starts at AED 3,999, with upcoming AMD and Intel variants expected to expand the range.

ASUS has brought its Zenbook 14 Copilot+ PC to the UAE, starting with a Snapdragon X model priced at AED 3,999 and positioning the 14-inch laptop as a lightweight option for mobile users, students and professionals. The launch comes as ASUS expands the Zenbook 14 family with later AMD and Intel configurations for the market, although local pricing and availability for those versions have not yet been announced.

The first UAE model, the UX3480QA, weighs 1.1kg and uses an all-metal chassis with ASUS’ Ceraluminum finish on the lid. The company says the material is intended to combine a ceramic-like look with greater resistance to scratches, fingerprints and everyday wear. The laptop ships in Arctic Blue and Zabriskie Beige, with the latter listed at AED 3,999 and the blue version at AED 4,999.

According to ASUS, the Snapdragon X system-on-chip includes Qualcomm Adreno graphics and a 45 TOPS neural processing unit, which qualifies the machine as a Windows 11 Copilot+ PC. The configuration can be fitted with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Industry coverage also notes that this places the model firmly in the new wave of AI-focused PCs rather than traditional ultrabooks.

ASUS has also redesigned the thermal system, adding a larger fan and revised airflow to support up to a 35W thermal design power, which it says is 25% higher than the previous generation. Dust protection has also been added. The company is pairing this with a 50Wh battery and a compact 68W USB-C charger, while stopping short of giving a precise battery-life claim beyond promising all-day use and fast charging.

The display on the Snapdragon X version is a 14-inch 16:10 WUXGA OLED panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, a 60Hz refresh rate and 300 nits of brightness. ASUS says it covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space and offers an 89% screen-to-body ratio. Future versions are expected to include an option for a 3K 120Hz ASUS Lumina OLED screen, alongside AMD Ryzen AI and Intel Core Ultra variants.

Connectivity is conventional rather than expansive, but covers most everyday needs. ASUS includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, HDMI 2.1 TMDS and a 3.5mm audio jack, plus Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The laptop also carries an AiSense infrared camera with Windows Hello facial recognition, Microsoft Pluton security, Dolby Atmos speakers and a large touchpad with ASUS Smart Gesture controls.

Buyers in the UAE can register the laptop within 90 days for ASUS Perfect Warranty, which adds accidental damage cover. Eligible customers also receive three months of Google AI Pro through the MyASUS app in supported markets.
