ASUS has introduced the TUF Gaming 16 FX610 in Indonesia, offering a new competitive option for gamers with RTX 50-series graphics, advanced cooling, and up to 64GB of DDR5 memory, starting at Rp27,999,000.
ASUS has started selling the TUF Gaming 16 FX610 in Indonesia, positioning the machine as a new option for buyers who want an RTX 50-series gaming laptop at a starting price of Rp27,999,000. The company says the range runs to Rp35,999,000, with several configurations built around NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050, RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 graphics. ASUS is pitching the model for both fast-paced competitive titles and modern AAA games, while arguing that its cooling design should prevent the performance drops often associated with heat.
The TUF Gaming 16 is built around Intel Core HX processors from the 14th generation, with ASUS listing the Core i5-14450HX and Core i7-14650HX as the available options. On its product pages, the company says the laptop uses 8GB graphics cards across the range, with the RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 fitted with GDDR7 memory and the RTX 5050 using GDDR6. ASUS also states that the maximum graphics power is capped at 85 watts, made up of 70 watts plus 15 watts of Dynamic Boost.
Display and system specifications are broadly in line with the gaming segment’s mainstream expectations. ASUS lists a 16-inch FHD+ panel in a 16:10 format with a 144Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage. The machine supports up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory and up to a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI 2.1 FRL, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, DisplayPort support and RJ45 Ethernet.
Cooling is one of the main claims ASUS is making for the model. The company says its Thermal Equilibrium system is designed to sustain up to 105 watts while keeping fan noise at 40 dBA. That is a modest noise figure for a gaming laptop, and ASUS argues it helps the TUF Gaming 16 avoid thermal throttling during longer sessions. The firm has also framed the machine as suitable for sustained play rather than short benchmark bursts.
ASUS cites internal testing at native 1080p without DLSS to support that position. In its own figures, the RTX 5070 variant reached 12,167 in 3DMark Time Spy graphics scoring, ahead of the RTX 5060 at 10,740 and the RTX 5050 at 9,405. In game tests, the RTX 5070 was said to average 262.7 frames per second in CS:GO, 75.1fps in Cyberpunk 2077, 131fps in Shadow of the Tomb Raider and 105fps in Far Cry 6. The least expensive RTX 5050 model still recorded 237.9fps in CS:GO, which ASUS says is sufficient for popular competitive games such as CS2, Valorant, Apex Legends and Dota 2.
