BOOX has launched three new E Ink devices – the Note Air6 C, Note Mini C, and Palma 3 – featuring Android 16, Bluetooth 6.0, and improved refresh technology, offering enhanced performance and versatility for readers and creators.
BOOX has refreshed its E Ink line-up with three new devices aimed at different kinds of readers and note-takers: the Note Air6 C, Note Mini C and Palma 3. The common thread is a move to Android 16, Bluetooth 6.0 and BOOX’s Super Refresh technology, which the company says is designed to make page transitions smoother and the interface more responsive. According to BOOX and reporting from Android Authority, the launch splits the range into a larger colour notebook, a smaller portable writing device and a pocket-sized reader with a phone-like form factor.
The most established model is the Note Air6 C, a 10.3-inch colour ePaper notebook that builds on the Note Air5 C. BOOX says the new octa-core processor and BSR engine deliver up to 40% faster page turning than the previous model. The device uses a Kaleido 3 panel at 300 ppi, includes 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, supports microSD expansion up to 2TB and ships with the BOOX Pen3. BOOX’s official store lists the Note Air6 C at €579.99, and the company says it is already on sale through its own shop and Amazon Italy.
The Note Mini C takes the same basic formula and compresses it into an 8.52-inch body. BOOX positions it as a more portable alternative for users who still want colour note-taking and document editing on an E Ink screen. Like the larger model, it is specified with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and microSD support, and it works with BOOX’s new InkSight pen. BOOX says the Note Mini C will arrive in international markets in the coming weeks, with a European price of €579.99.
The Palma 3 is the most unusual of the three. It keeps the compact, smartphone-style format that made earlier Palma models distinctive, but BOOX says the new version uses a redesigned monochrome E Ink panel with deeper blacks and stronger contrast. The device runs Android 16 with Play Store access, offers 128GB of storage, supports microSD expansion and is aimed at reading and listening on the move while still allowing fuller app use than a conventional e-reader. Android Authority and BOOX both report a starting price of about $339.99, or €339.99 in Europe, with availability expected soon rather than immediately.
